from the opus chair
Welcome to the second OPUS Forum!
Much progress has been made since our inaugural symposium where we laid the foundations for our core objectives to improve patient selection and outcomes for joint replacement. There is a need to empower patients in decision-making, find non-surgical alternatives and refine the delivery and cost of care. Since we last met, we have dived deeper into the research and branched out to new and exciting directions.
We’re ready to showcase the fruits of our labour, explore your interests and invite you to the stage. This year, we are opening up the experience with more sessions, more interactive programs and more opportunities to forge new connections.
The osteoarthritis journey is a patient journey. We cannot improve the system without the voices of the community we serve and we encourage members of public to join the discussion.
We look forward to seeing you in July 2021!

UPDATE (11th June 2021): We are watching the evolving situation in Melbourne and are placing the safety of all attendees at the front of our minds.
The current path out of State Government restrictions leading up to our event means the Organising Committee have had to make an executive decision. We will be switching to Whova completely. The appropriate refunds will be made for in-person tickets switching to virtual tickets.
We strongly encourage all attendees to create a profile on Whova prior to the event to facilitate networking! Stay tuned for more updates as we get closer!
